Anthony Rose, B.A., PhD Candidate in Counseling Psychology
Professional Highlights: Anthony is currently completing a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at BYU. He previously earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Prince Edward Island in Canada, with a minor in religious studies. He has experience working in mental health in a university setting and is currently seeing clients at a mental health clinic in Salt Lake Valley.
Specialties: Anthony works primarily with adults and is open to seeing adolescents on a case by case basis. He incorporates Client-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychodynamic, and Existential perspectives into his practice. He is comfortable working with a wide range of diverse populations. He has additional training and interest in implementing spirituality-based interventions, when requested by the client, and is experienced in the treatment of addiction and substance use (pornography and alcohol) and LGBTQ+ issues. He is also interested in treating those who experience anxiety, OCD, phobias, panic-disorder, depression, and crisis of faith.
