Boone Christianson, M.S., LAMFT

Professional Highlights: Boone is a Provo native. He earned his B.A. in
Anthropology at BYU and his master’s degree in Marriage and Family
Therapy from Auburn University. He gained experience adapting services to
cultures while studying non-profit development in various African countries,
and his master’s thesis explored the experience of clergy in providing mental
and relational help to congregants. He has worked with children and parents
in community mental health, court-ordered clients undergoing supervised
visitation, and with couples at the Auburn University Marriage and Family
Therapy Center.

Specialties: Boone enjoys challenges. He has experience working with
children, adolescents, and couples with various mental health and relational
issues. He has received training in EMDR, Structural, Emotion-Focused, Cognitive-
Behavioral, and Brief Therapy methods. He has worked with clients from
various cultures and has substantial experience working with LGBTQ+ youth.
Boone seeks to adapt therapy models to client needs and includes as many
members of the family system as possible. He concentrates on increasing
client insight, authenticity, and vulnerability.
