Derek Bartlett, MS, PhD Candidate in Clinical Psychology
Professional Highlights: Derek is currently working on his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Brigham Young University. Derek’s research is focused on investigating the interaction of stress and mental health.
Specialties: In therapy, Derek takes the biopsychosocial approach which puts psychological difficulties in the context of our bodies and the challenges that come with our physical limitations. He emphasizes a collaborative relationship with those he works with. Together they identify strategies and interventions to work towards wholeness and well-being. Derek tends to work with adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, and stress. He has also worked with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds as well as those in the LGBTQ+ community.
