Individual Therapy

Individual therapy for patients ages 6+

Individual therapy – also commonly referred to as therapy, counseling, or psychotherapy – creates a warm, confidential, and supportive environment where an individual meets one on one with a trained therapist. At Alliance Behavioral Psychology, we strive to focus on having a genuine and interested relationship or “alliance” with the person.

In individual therapy the person can expect to be treated with respect, understanding, and empathy. Your therapist will seek to work with you to develop a clear treatment plan within the first visit or two. You can expect to work on understanding the relationship between your thoughts, emotions, and interpersonal approaches. Our objective is to help you develop and enhance the skills needed to cope more effectively with your concerns and begin to have a more fulfilling and hopeful approach to life.

Areas of therapeutic expertise- anxiety, depression (including postpartum depression), OCD, PTSD, bipolar, grief and loss, anger management, relationship concerns, spiritual/religious concerns, pornography and sexual concerns, perfectionism, restoring inner-resilience, and developing interpersonal empowerment.

All of our therapists use empirically supported therapeutic approaches (CBT, ACT, DBT, etc.).
